Yey! The fantastic Meet Me At Mikes Blog is celebrating it's 3rd brithday. The Owls are Hunting are joining in the celebrations by giving away a handcrafted Yellow Finch Lampshade complete with vintage style pom poms. It's pictured here with one of our reclaimed and revamped hot pink bases but it'll fit on any standard base and look a treat!

New listings on Madeit

Big thanks to everyone who came to the Handmade Market in Canberra on Saturday. For those who didn't make it (it was just a little bit hot for all but the most diehard of handmade shoppers!) I'll be listing some great items in my madeit shop over the next week or so. You can visit it here. OR you can check out any of the stockists listed over to the left. Both Leeloo and MissChief Maker sell online as well. AND I'll be at the Manuka Childcare Super Fete on Saturday 12th December - should be a super duper fun day out!

More Market Goodies...

Along with the gorgeous vintage lamps mentioned in my last post here's a few more items that I'll be taking along to the Handmade Market at Yarralumla Woolshed in Canberra this Saturday (21st Nov). These item's are all made using reclaimed and revamped bases and teamed with handcrafted lampshades. They'll brighten up any room that's for sure! If you're not in Canberra make a beeline to the stockists listed on the left hand side. They've all got a great selection of lamps and they're all different!

Vintage Goodies

Here's a sneak preview of just a couple of the items that I'll be taking along with me to the Handmade Market at Yarralumla Woolshed, Canberra on Saturday 21st Nov. These beauties are made from original vintage fabric.

The first is a seriously cool 1950s print featuring Mayan characters and their crazy goings on. The second is a 60s/70s print featuring sheep, horses, men fishing, kids playing, flowers, trees, houses... It's fantastic!

I'll have some ceiling shades and table lamps available in both prints but they are seriously limited in numbers!

By the way, unfortunately I won't have an eftpos machine at the market - really sorry about that. Hope to see you there this Saturday!

Handmade Christmas Market

It's almost time for Canberra's own fantastic handmade christmas market. The Owls are Hunting will be there on Saturday 21st November with some great new products. Jo has been on her travels and along the way picked up some really really amazing vintage fabrics that will provide the basis for some seriously limited edition lampshades to be exclusively revealed at the Handmade Market.
